Carnival Costume Making and Float Making

Tuesdays 7.00 – 9.00 pm. We are very happy to be involved in Carnival again this year - as its one of our fave events. Carnival costume making and float building workshops are now taking place at the Rising Sun on Tuesday evenings - Carnival is all about community togetherness and this year we are following the Year of Culture theme for May and taking Reading history as our theme - which part of Reading history or historical figure would you be? Come to the workshops and make a costume with Carnival Artist Herman Philbert or help to build a float (a giant model of Reading past and present) coordinated by Artist Martin West. Carnival will happen in Prospect Park on Bank Holiday Monday May 30th.
