Club Velocity presents Beans On Toast

Price:
£10.00 (advance) www.wegottickets.com

Independent Venue Week started in 2014 is a 7 day celebration of small music venues

around the UK and a nod to the people that own, run and work in them,

week in, week out.

Ambassadors in the past have been Colin Greenwood (Radiohead), Frank Turner

and Wolf Alice.

These venues give artists their first experience of playing live in front of an

audience and for fans, somewhere to get up close to artists that one day, may well

be playing stadiums and festival main stages.

Supported using public funding by the Arts Council England, Independent Venue

Week brings together these venues along with breaking and established artists, promoters, labels, media, bloggers and taste makers to create a nationwide series of gigs at the end of January.

These venues are the backbone of the live music scene in this country and Independent Venue Week wants to recognise all that they have done to create

some of the most memorable nights of the past so they can continue to do the same in the future.

Rising Sun Arts Centre celebrated it's 25th year this year.

The venue is run by unpaid volunteers; it is 100 per cent Independent.

It is one of a kind. The only venue in Reading to part of Independent Venue Week.

Beans On Toast

Beans on Toast will be doing a week long tour across the South of the UK as part of this years Independent venue week. IVW is a brilliant organisation that highlights the need for grass roots independent venues, which as we all know are closing down at an alarming rate. Beans' new song “The Drum Kit” taken from his new album “A Spanner in the Works” released on Xtra Mile Recordings on 1st December 2016 is all about the closing of UK venues; a matter very close to Bean’s heart, so this whistle stop tour seemed like a very good shout indeed. Each night there will be great local acts on the bill, and each show will be no more than a tenner for you to support your local independent venue.
