Daoirí Farrell

Powerful Irish traditional singer and bouzouki player Daoirí (pronounced 'Derry') Farrell from Dublin, is the new voice of Irish traditional music.

In Daoirí Farrell distinct, perceptive and fluid vocals are teamed with an instrumental musicianship honed through years of study, all driven by a deep love of Irish traditional song. The result is a musician hailed by Dónal Lunny as the most important traditional singer to emerge in recent years.

He has performed alongside some of the biggest names in Irish and international folk music including Christy Moore, Dónal Lunny, Danú, Dervish, Julie Fowlis, Lynched and more, touring in numerous line-ups throughout Ireland and beyond, including dates in France, Germany, America, Canada, India and at Glasgow's prestigious Celtic Connections festival in January 2016.

Please note: This show will take place at the Rising Sun Arts Centre but is promoted by South Street.
