Heritage Open Day

Price:
Free

The Rising Sun Arts Centre is a grade 2 listed building reputed to be originally designed and built by architect Alfred Waterhouse for his wife as a temperance house. Some 138 years later it is now used as a vibrant and unique arts centre with a passion for our community and heritage. Join us as we delve into the Rising Sun's history through an art exhibition of work created for and about the centre, special poetry readings and a guide to the building’s intriguing past. Our cafe will be open with homemade refreshments and it promises to be a great opportunity to explore the centre and all it has to offer.

Heritage Open Days is England’s biggest heritage festival, celebrating history, architecture and culture. See www.heritageopendays.org.uk for more venues taking part.
