The Hourglass Sanatorium. (Wojciech Has, 1973). A young man visits his father in a sanatorium where the laws of time and space appear not to apply. A haunting, enigmatic treatise on the subconscious, death and the passage of time. Wojciech's film is full of surreal imagery, an assault on the senses, albeit a very beautiful one.
