Hi Everyone

The sun is out, the weekend is nearly here.  And the outbreak of unseasonal weather has brought the people out on the streets yesterday they were saying how lovely it was, today they seem to be a bit red all over and saying it's too hot.

And as, I your humble narrator can see a mirage of a raincloud from the window it might be wise to pop back into the shade and let you know what's happening at the Rising Sun this weekend.

On Friday we have none other than THE BIG UNTIDY NIGHT OUT

The Big Untidy Night Out specialises in bringing new unusual talent into the Rising Sun.  Singers, songwriters, poets, punk outfits, ambient experimentalists, sensational cellists and demonic banjo-players…the possibilities are endless.

And this month?  Well, "If only Pressgang would play a gig!"  I hear some people say Well, they are... not a Pressgang dance gig, but an occasion when all members are free to play solo spots on the same bill. So Damian, George, Tony, Cliff and John Forrester are all playing at the Big Untidy!   Oh...and there will be some Pressgang songs together at some point!!

We're open at 8pm and ther'll still be a limited number of tickets available on the door.at £10 each

On Saturday afternoon we have the YELLOW TEAPOT CAFE

A new monthly cafe all about community, cake and cups of tea!  Also a showcase for local artists with work on display and everyone welcome!

 
We're open form 12pm to 2pm and it's absolutely FREE to get in

Saturday evening brings something different in the shape of THE UNCERTAINTY OF PASSION

The Uncertainty of Passion performs original songs and instrumentals, telling stories of love and life.  Jackie Doe's original compositions reflect her own unique style, influenbced by her love of the accordion, French and tango music.  Emotive melodies sung by Anne De Lima contrast with upbeat driving instrumetals on acordion (Jackie Doe), violin (Carson Maass), guitar (Dave Maggs) and bass (henry Smithson)

We're open at 8.30pm and it'll cost you £8 on the door
