Hi Everyone

As we wind our merry way through early Spring, some very unpredictable weather, and somebody called Liverpool being top of the league, some things stay slightly more constant.  Things such as I, your humble narrator, mentioning the weather and telling you what's occurring at the Rising Sun this very weekend.

On Friday, it's time for THE BIG UNTIDY NIGHT OUT

April's dose of Untidyness stars the legendary ZOE WEST - expect guitars, pianos, sea shanties, tambourines and foot tapping!! Plus, from Brighton, THE BANDANA COLLECTIVE, starring Untidy Robb Johnson. As if this wasn't enough, there'll also have the splendid RIK KNIGHT...one of Reading's own!

We'll be open at 8pm and it'll only cost you £5 to get in.

On Saturday, we're delighted to be bringing you FROM HEAD TO TOE IN BERLIN: Music and Melody, from Weimar to Weill

International cabaret chanteuse Baroness Maria von Hackemann welcomes you to a night of 1930s Berlin Cabaret. A Weimar-themed show of vintage European Cabaret with a generous sprinkling of cheeky charm and early twentieth century decadence.

- "Baroness Maria is a revelation, she’s much smarter than your average cabaret act, she’s witty, she’s original and most of all real entertaining fun." Remote Goat *****Star Review.
- 2013 Shortlisted for Sue Ryder Female Performer of the Year Award
- Fringe Review Recommended
- BBC Surrey and Sussex: ‘absolutely fantastic’.

We'll be open at 7.30pm and it'll cost you £10 on the door

Sunday's a bit quiet.  Why not stay at home and read a book?  I'm currently reading the 100% unofficial Tom Cruise biography Scientology?  Never Heard of That, Mush!  (Chatto and Windsock £1.99)

That's everything for another weekend, just to remind you that you can find us at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST  (If you put us in your Google or Sat Nav, we shall magically appear)
