Hi Everyone

Thanks to everybody who came to visit us last weekend.  Especially everybody who came to Tribute Night last Friday.  Not only was it a very busy and enjoyable night, but we made a very healthy profit which we can put towards our upkeep which, even though we so so ourselves, is always welcome

By the way, you might like to know that you can see can see this and 8 other Tribute nights along with 168 other videos of Rising Sun happenings playlisted at RSAC TV here:

... please share and subscribe! Once we get to the magic total of 100 subscribers we can get a memorable URL instead of the aforementioned alphabet spaghetti!

Also, you may have noticed that this coming weekend coincides with Valentine's Day.  The one day of the year where we mark that rather infamous moment when the renowned scoundrel St Valentine himself crossed to the Dark Side and became a PR executive at Hallmark cards.  Thus making all couples feel guilty for not being able to get a bigger card or a better bunch of flowers for their signifcant other than the purchase they could afford to make, and a sense of angry relief from single people for knowing that even though they're unattached, they don't have to suffer this somewhat disheartening charade every year (Every cloud has a silver lining... sort of!)

Now then, we suggest you put those carnations in the bin and recycle that Valentine's card (they probably won't appreciate it anyway), it's time to regale you all with what you can expect at the Rising Sun this weekend

First of all on Friday, THE BIG UNTIDY brings its LOVE HURTS:  VALENTINES SPECIAL!

Big Untidy returns from its extended sojourn.  Its now traditional un-lovey dovey Valentines Special is famous for its total lack of romance. To kick things off this time around we are very excited to announce the fantastic MICK SQUALOR (of Dingus Khan fame) with his new band 'SUPERGLU'. Also on the bill is the inimitable ROBBIE RANSOM and the welcome return of Oxford's hard-gigging troubador Mr ANDY ROBBINS.

MIKHAIL THE TERRIBLE will be performing compering duties on the night

We're open at 8pm and it'll cost you a paltry £5 on the door to get in.

On Saturday, we bring you something different in the form of FLOAT

Creative People and Floating Point present an evening of laid-back music and relacing treatments in aid of the mayor of Reading's charities:  Babies in Buscot and Fibromyalgia UK.
