Hi Everyone

We’d like to give a big thank you to everybody who helped out with the River of Creativity parade.   Contributions from so many people made it a fun and creative day.  Also, another big thank you to everyone who came along to see us!

Just as quickly as that weekend has passed, another one is waiting for us very shortly.

Friday’s a little bit quiet (by the way, you might be interested to know that STAND UP CINEMA returns to its tried and trusted Friday slot from September!)

Saturday sees the return of BANDORAMA

The third Saturday of the month?  The third Saturday of the month at a certain venue in Reading? Surely that means another helping of one of the best band nights in town.

BEN MARWOOD
A Rising Sun, and indeed, a Reading legend.  All round brilliant song writer.  If you live round these parts, you should really know Ben by now. If you haven’t, here’s your chance to catch up.

He recently released his 3rd album 'Get Found' on Xtra Mile (Frank Turner/Beans on Toast/
Against Me/Chris TT et al) It is finest and best work to date.

QUIET QUIET BAND
Genuinely one of the best live bands in the land.  Super clever forward thinking alt country punk.

DAMIEN A PASSMORE & THE LOVEABLE FRAUDSTERS
The best and tallest cowpunks in Reading and beyond.

We'll be open at 8pm.  And it'll cost you £10 on the door to get in (£8 in advance from www.wegottickets.com)

Finally on Sunday, MILONGA SIMPATICA brings you TANGO SELECT

A small, friendly afternoon milonga aimed at giving people a chance to dance tango in a relaxed and stress-free environment and this month we bring you live music from Tango Select. Tango Select play a selection of very danceable tangos, vals and milongas. Great for dancers or come to listen and enjoy the ambience and the friendly atmosphere of the Rising Sun.

We'll be open from 4pm-8pm  And it'll cost you a paltry £8. Join us.

That’s everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)
