Hi Everyone

As you're possibly aware, Here Comes The Sun takes place next month, and the place is a hive of activity.  Performers have been booked, the place is being tidied, the play-it piano is being dusted down, bunting being prepared, dinosaur being spruced, the shopping list is being double & triple-checked and the squeaky doors are getting a liberal spray of WD40.

Not only this but also, as sure as night follows day, or Tesco open another shop six metres away from the shop they opened last month, it's time for another little update of what's in the store at the Rising Sun this weekend.

On Friday, we have MADCAP MOONSOUP

Madcap Moonsoup bring you another evening of unpredictable mayhem and surreal goings on. Every Madcap Moonsoup event is a mix of artistically adventurous performers, comedians, musicians and mimes who combine to create an explosion of comedic possibilities.

Appearing this time around are

HORSE ROCK
PHIL JARVIS
LUKE PAOLO
LIISA
STARKEY AND THE MOONDOCTOR
IAN LANE

We're open from 8pm and it'll cost you £4 on the door to get in

On Saturday, we have the welcome return of UUSIKUU

Uusikuu are about to bring their brand of Finnish tango back to the Rising Sun once again!  A few years after their last visit they're here again doing what they do best:  Taking you on a very special  sepia-tinted musical jurney with their thrilling tangos, cheeky foxtrots and melancholy melodies of heartbreak and hope.

To mark their tenth anniversary, Uusikuu's new album Suomi-Neito ("The Maiden of Finland") was realeased last month on Nordic Notes and we hope you can join us in celebrating it with us

We're open at 8pm and it'll cost you £10 on the door

And finallly on Sunday morning, we bring you SUNDAY ASSEMBLY

Sunday Assembly Reading is a community group that meets on the last Sunday of each month at the Rising Sun to hear great talks, sing songs, eat cake and celebrate life… it’s a part atheist church, part foot-stomping show.  Each event has a theme with stories, readings and a final address on that topic. No matter what the subject, the goal of The Sunday Assembly is to solace worries, provoke kindness and inject a bit more whizziness into the everyday.  And the best part.... IT’S FREE!!!

We're open from 11am to 12pm, and everybody's welcome!

That's everything for another week.  Just to remind you that barring bizarre unexplained phenemona, that you can find us at 30 Silver Street, Reading Berkshire, England, Europe, Northern Hemisphere, Planet Earth. The Solar System, Milky Way, Near Andromeda, The Universe, RG1 2ST  (If you put us in your google or satnav we shall magically appear)

Have a nice weekend!
