Hi Everyone

There comes a time, when we heed a certain call.  It may be answering your phone to get a very slow recorded message about PPI or the accident you never had,  perhaps it's the sight of an animatronic penguin on the TV urging you to change to any channel not showing it (personally, I must say I wouldn't mind a penguin for Christmas.  It would certainly make a change from turkey!) or in the case of I, your humble narrator, it means it's time to serenade you with news of everyrthing of a Rising Sun nature, that just happens to be happening this weekend

Friday sees the return of CLUB VELOCITY

VIENNA DITTO
The local girl/boy duo have really making moves this year.  There is a real buzz about them now.  Only this month they are on the front cover of the Oxford based legendary music magazine Nightshift.

Championed by the likes of Huw Stephens Radio 1), Tom Robinson (6 Music) and John Kennedy (XFM) Both BBC Berkshire Introducing and BBC Oxford Introducing are both huge fans.Their hard work is paying off.  They deal in electro pop blues stomp.  A must see live band.

THE PINK DIAMOND REVUE
Sonic electro punk located somewhere between the Shadows and Renegade Soundwave.

MATT MALTESE
The teenage genius is back.

We're open at 8pm, and it'll cost you £5 on the door or £4 in advance from

www.wegottickets.co.uk

Saturday's quite busy this time round, in the daytime we bring you our CHRISTMAS ART MARKET

This year's Christmas Art Market at The Rising Sun Arts Centre is an excellent opportunity to buy unique, handmade Christmas presents direct from local artists. Browse the many stalls selling paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, jewellery, ceramics, textiles and more. Relax and indulge in homemade cakes and snacks our cosy cafe bar.

Have fun shopping away from the chaos of high street shops and take a chance to support your local artists!  All proceeds from the art market will be used to help fund future events at the centre.

We're open from 11am to 5pm and it'll cost you absolutely NOTHING to get in

Saturday evening brings the November edition of FIESTA LATINA

Fiesta Latina, I hear you ask?  Why, it's a little piece of Cuba hidden away in Reading. A relaxed and friendly Latin party with lots of Latin music so you can dance, or just socialise. You can expect plenty of Salsa, tango and whatever the mood suggests: bachata, milonga, merengue and reggaeton. Maybe more!

We’re open from 9pm and it’ll cost you a paltry £6.to get in

That's everything for another weekend, just to remind you that you can find us at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST  (If you put us in your Google or Sat Nav, we shall magically appear)
