Hi Everyone

It was so good seeing so many people at Club Velocity and Are You Listening? last weekend. It was such a great reminder of the amazing live music we have locally and how important it is to support local talent and offer a wide programme to meet everybody’s music taste.

And we have more of what helps to make this little old place so special this very weekend!

On Saturday, SCARLET VIXENS NERDLESQUE present THE LUST JEDI

The Scarlet Vixens are back at their original home, the Rising Sun Arts Centre, with a show not to be missed! This time we're bringing you a night of burlesque and variety from nerd culture, such as Sci-Fi, comic books and cult TV/films.

Hosted by Mojo Jones

Special Guest: Pearl Grey

And your Vixens:

Mariposa Bop
Layla Cherry
Tootsie Rocques
Lady Intrepid

We'll be open at 7.30pm.  Tickets are £10 in advance via https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Reading/Rising-Sun-Arts-Centre/The-Scarlet-Vixens-Nerdlesque-Present-The-Lust-Jedi/13102500/ and £12 on the door. What are you waiting for?

On Sunday, we have something special as HEAVY POP, DORK and DARKLANDS present HALEY HENDERICKX

Portland-based Haley Heynderickx is being championed by many including Pitchfork, Uncut, Stereogum, NPR, Hype Machine (No.1), BBC 6 Music and many more; and joins us on the bank holiday weekend for an intimate solo performance.

Haley has already performed at the legendary U.S Festival SXSW and her visit to the UK coincides with performances at UK festivals Live at Leeds, The Great Escape before returning to our shores later in the summer.

Support comes in the shape of OCEAN RUINS showcasing their stripped down, acoustic side.

We're open at 7.30pm and tickets are available at £7 in advance via wegottickets.com/event/435975 or heavypop.co.uk.  Or £9 at the door

That’s everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)

Have a nice weekend!
