This Weekend's Events (8th to 10th July)

Hi Everyone

You'll be delighted to know that we have our brand new revamped exterior!  And the place looks great, if we do say so ourselves! New drainpipes, fixed windows, various other bits and pieces tidied up and a bold new lick of paint.  Our heartfelt thanks to everybody who put in so much hard work over the last few weeks!

And after that brief spot of blowing one's own trumpet, it's time to let this weekend's little old programme do the talking.

On Friday, we bring you THE BIG UNTIDY NIGHT OUT

The Big Untidy Night Out specialises in bringing new unusual talent into the Rising Sun.  Singers, songwriters, poets, punk outfits, ambient experimentalists, sensational cellists and demonic banjo-players…the possibilities are endless.

The Big Untidy are thrilled to bring you the fabulously strange and prodigously talented RAVIOLI ME AWAY as well as the return of OLDER, WISER, HARDER and riff-driven pop-punk of Reading's own THE MAJORITY THIEVES

On Saturday, we say "hello again" to THE SCARLET VIXENS who bring you their very own SUMMER OF LOVE

The Scarlet Vixens return to the Rising Sun Arts Centre for a bonkers bonanza of a show, dedicated to the good old British summer. Let's hope we actually get some sunshine?

Hippies, flowers, stories of true love and so much more! Bringing you some 'summer lovin' on this glorious evening will be:

MISS KITTY PIMMS
LILYANA L'AMOUR
LAYLA CHERRY
LADY LISETTE RUBY
LADY INTREPID
MOJO JONES

Tickets are £6.50 early bird, £8.50 thereafter and £10 on the door. Our VIP package is £15 and includes a burlesque workshop before the show with our very own Lilyana L'amour, a glass of fizz on arrival and a guaranteed front row seat. What are you waiting for? These shows sell out fast so be sure to get your tickets before it's too late!

That’s everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)

Have a nice weekend!
