The Scarlet Vixens are an eclectic Burlesque dance troupe who regularly perform at the Rising Sun Arts Centre.

If you believe in the philosophy ‘variety is the spice of life’ then you are going to love The Scarlet Vixens! The routines are influenced by dance genres such as hip-hop, contemporary, Bollywood, pole, hula-hoop, Charleston, classic showgirl, vintage and pin up styles. This means that each show is uniquely different for all the right reasons. The routines are captivating, quirky, and most importantly – fun.

The Scarlet Vixens début performance took place in the RSAC back in August 2012, and since then the burlesque troupe has gone from strength to strength. The Scarlet Vixens are the RSAC’s Burlesque troupe of choice and performances from the girls can be seen at all their Vaudeville events as well as the annual ‘Here Comes the Sun’ Festival during the summer. Many of the Scarlet Vixen girls were taught at the RSAC by the talented teacher and choreographer Irem Luqman of BodyMind Dance Fitness Studios who has over 8 years experience in the Burlesque arena as well as other dance fitness genres such as Bollywood, pole and Zumba.

Hi Everyone   You know, I was planning a long pre-amble about this week's exciting cornucopia of all things Rising Sun related, but after some consideration/faffing about, I felt it might be better to let this weekend's events speak for themselves...
We had some very special guests join us at the centre this weekend. Channel 4 were here, filming footage for a new TV pilot about cosplayers.
