Exploring puppet making and object personification as a queer medium

Puppet-making workshop with artist Georgina Dayanc (they/them)

Fancy learning about puppets and puppetry as an artistic medium to explore queerness? Want to try making a puppet character yourself? Ever wondered what objects could be classified as puppets? The workshop will explore puppet making and object personification more broadly (using found materials) in relation to queer theories.

Note: All materials will be provided, however if you feel inclined to do so, please do bring your own scrap materials to use on the day, including any found materials, i.e., old fabrics, buttons, discarded cardboard etc.

This event warmly welcomes members and allies of the LGBTQ+ and Trans community, and over the age of 15.
