Sheer Obsession’s Suspenders - Drag Night

You’re invited to a drag show at the Rising Sun Arts Centre, hosted by the local Reading legend in suspenders themself, Sheer Obsession.

Think performances from local drag acts, think queer friendly space, think a fully stocked bar, think a who-has-the-best-suspenders competition!!!

Yes that’s right, if you come dressed in your best suspenders, Sheer Obsession will choose their FAVOURITE - whether they be the leg garter type or the type that holds ya trousers up - and the WINNER will get A FREE DRINK!

Tickets are available on a sliding scale, ‘pay what you can’ basis to enable those in differing financial situations to come and join in this fun:

Due to Covid restrictions, the Rising Sun is working at a limited capacity of 30 people in the building at any one time, so for this reason we are launching this event to a VIP crowd of VERY limited numbers. The night will be seated at cabaret style tables, and the bar will be open. The event will take place indoors.

Access

The downstairs of the Rising Sun Arts Centre where this event is held is wheelchair accessible. There is a disabled access toilet on the ground floor, and the bar area is also wheelchair accessible. 

This event will be seated, but please feel free to get up and stretch or move around when you need to.

There is a space upstairs (not wheelchair accessible) if you need a break out space - please talk to a volunteer on the night if you need this. There is a car park space outside that can also be used as a break out space.

Covid Policy

We ask that you take lateral flow tests before you attend to ensure a negative result. We will not be asking for evidence of negative tests, but we want to be clear that we expect our community to look after each other.

We recommend that you wear masks inside the building unless seated. 

Please as always respect people’s personal space, and allow room for people to social distance should they wish to.

DO NOT ATTEND if you are displaying any Covid symptoms or test positive for Covid-19.
