Stand Up Cinema Classic Film Club: D.O.A. (1950)

A collaboration between The Rising Sun, Real Time Video and the Open Mind Group. Stand Up Cinema (you don’t have to stand up) brings great movie nights to the Rising Sun as well as evenings dedicated to community cinema or short films by local artists and filmmakers. Classic Cinema Club runs every quarter and will be showing some of the most iconic movies from the early 60’s and before. On May 10th we are showing D.O.A (Dead on Arrival - Rudolph Maté, 1950) a genre defining noir. Remade with Denis Quade and Meg Ryan in the 80’s this is the high octane original starring Frank Bigelow as the man who is running out of time to track down the person who murdered him.
