An arty start to the month

We kick off December with two very different art events at the centre.

First up on Friday 4th December is The Fall of Icarus. This is a contemporary art show put together by Ailbhe and Jo, our two interns from the University of Reading who made a fantastic contribution over the summer.

The show will feature performance, sculpture, painting and film. It begins at 6pm, with performances between 7-10pm.

Then, Sunday 6th December brings this year’s Christmas Art Market. Once again, local artists will be offering their creations with stalls spread across two floors, letting you put the fun back into your Christmas shopping.

There’ll also be homemade cakes, mulled wine, family activities and more. And it all starts at 11am.

Both events are free entry, so why not pop along and support local artists this weekend?

Hi Everyone

It really annoys me how people nowadays are always moaning on about how things were better in the old days.  Nobody ever complained in my day... hang on....

This Saturday, Greg Chapman brings his “one-man variety” show to the centre, with two performances – a family-friendly matinee and a more grown-up evening show.

Hi Everyone

Did you know that I once made a replica nuclear submarine out of polystyrene.  It didn't go down very well
