First Acts Announced for Here Comes The Sun!

We’re delighted to announce the first acts gracing the stage(s) for this year’s Here Comes The Sun Festival!

It’s a very warm welcome back to Reading’s own Empress Of The Blues, Ma Bessie and Her Pig Foot Band! And at the other end of the musical scale – but no less of a warm welcome back – it’s a somewhat stripped back version of alt synth-poppers No Feathers!

We’ve got some new faces making their HCTS debuts this year, too. Wolfnote will bring their personal brand of modern, original folk, and Checkendon-based singer-songwriter Steve Daniels will bring his “stories and catchy tunes”.

Here Comes The Sun has always been a great showcase for the communities that call the centre home – and this year is no exception. The Zap! Comedy troupe will bring us another hilarious sketch, and we’ll have performances from several of the regulars from the monthly Dreading Slam poetry nights.

Music, comedy, poetry… and that’s just for starters!

New classes starting soon
