Hi Everyone

First of all, thanks to everybody who turned up to Tribute Night last week and gave us another bumper bar take, we surprised you had any money left after the amount of money raised at Here Comes The Sun the week before!

Anyhow, we appear to have reached the halfway point in August.  Even though August at the Rising Sun tends to be on the quiet side, we still have an event for you this weekend.

On Saturday, we bring you the thrilling August instalment of BANDORAMA

The third saturday of the month?  The third saturday of the month at a certain venue in Reading? Surely that means another helping of one of the best band nights in town.   And it looks just so...

BURNT TOMORROW
Delightful forward thinking folk punk.  They have real songs.
For fans of Frank Turner/Flogging Molly/Bruce Springsteen/Zac Brown Band

JACK CADE
The real deal.Alt country, with a HUGE punk attitude.  Do. Not. Mess. With. Him.

OCEAN RUINS
Like Patti Smith eating very cold ice cream on a sunny hot day.  Recently won the demo panel on BBC Berskhire.

CRESTED TALES
Burnt Tomorrow drummer in solo shenanigans!  Yowsa!!

We're open at 8pm.and it'll cost you £5 on the door or £4 in advance from www.wegottickets.co.uk

(Please note that this gig is for ages 16 and over)

STAND UP CINEMA, MILONGA SIMPATICA and FIESTA LATINA are all taking  a little rest til next month

That's everything for another weekend, just to remind you that you can find us at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST  (If you put us in your Google or Sat Nav, we shall magically appear)
