Winners at the Cultural Awards!

Damien's picture

We had a wonderful time last night at the Reading Cultural Awards last week, and are chuffed to bits to say that we came home with two awards!

Our very own Zap! Magazine won for Partnership of the Year, which was won in conjunction with our partners at Real Time Video, Our Time Video, Spectrum Arts, The Step Up Project and our very own Neile Wright! And it’s fair to say that Peter accepting the award on the night truly stole the show!

And we're also extremely humbled and overjoyed at being the surprise recipients of this year's Outstanding Contribution Award, something we dedicate to everyone who's ever volunteered, contributed to, taught, performed at or attended here at the centre - thank you all!

It’s also worth mentioning that Are You Listening? won Festival of the Year, which we’re very proud to have been part of over the past two years. And it would be remiss of us to not acknowledge and congratulate the winners of the other categories for which we were nominated – Reading Between The Lines for Cultural Organisation of the Year, and The Oracle for Cultural Space of the Year.

And we’d like to share massive congratulations to all the other worthy winners last night - what a wonderful town we are!
