Live, Love, Dream - three events, one purpose

This weekend marks the first of three events in a mini festival of togetherness – Live, Love, Dream.

With Live, Love, Dream, we aim in a small way to counter the trend towards building walls between people, and aim to build bridges instead. The events will encourage sharing and learning between communities, artists, people and cultures.

We kick off on Saturday 27th October with Love, a one-day exhibition of visual and carnival arts, focussing on what we hold dear and opening our hearts to others. On friendship, kindness and compassion. It features works from our own Herman Philbert (watch his video here) and Ahmad Alazami (his video is here). For a full breakdown of how the day will run, see our event page.

The next event is Live on Saturday 10th November, an evening of poetry focussing on sharing stories and experiences of how we are shaped by the world around us and our relationships with others. Then on Saturday 1st December, we wrap up with Dream, a music event based on our hopes and aspirations for the future and building a world for everyone. More info on these events will be added to site in the coming weeks.

Live, Love, Dream is funded by Building a Stronger Britain Together, a Home Office programme that supports civil society and community organisations who work to create more resilient communities, stand up to extremism in all its forms and offer vulnerable individuals a positive alternative, regardless of race, faith, sexuality, age and gender. With Live, Love, Dream, we hope to show just why the Rising Sun Arts Centre is such an organisation... and so much more.
