Stand Up Cinema is a monthly film night run by the Rising Sun Arts centre showing \rarely seen classics, obscure documentaries, cult independents and overlooked modern gems: plus screenings of the best locally made film and video. Stand Up is launching a new membership scheme, entry to any film is £5 or annual membership is just £10 and also includes entry to 2016’s make it visual workshop programme.

Hi Everyone This weekend is rather quiet.  In some ways this is rather fortunate as we really can't keep up our usual red-hot pace all the time and sometimes we really do need to take it easy and recharge them batteries a little bit.

Hi Everyone Forrest Gump’s mother famously said “life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you’re going to get”.  Well, I can’t help thinking that Mrs Gump was buying the wrong chocolates.  The ones I get come with a little card that shows you which centres are which.
