We enjoyed a lovely evening on June 6th with other charities and their volunteers at Reading Voluntary Action's first Volunteer Awards ceremony.
The Rising Sun is unique in its relationship with volunteering. As most people who visit the centre are aware, we only have 2 part-time paid workers here.
Yoga and flamenco classes are coming to the centre as starting next week, so you can have the chance to stretch yourself – in more ways than one!
Jackie teaches a fusion of Hatha and Dynamic Vinyasa Flow Yoga, creating exciting flowing classes with a joyful atmosphere.
Every Wednesday, 8.00 – 9.00 pm.
Classes will cover: - Expression with the arms - Rhythms within the dance - Choreography - Improvisation
Cost £6.
We’re humbled and honoured to be nominated in two categories at the inaugural Reading Cultural Awards.
May has been quite busy so far, but this time weekend, we’re taking it a little easier.
